Intech Machine
is creation out of necessity

  • Necessity to find an exceptional machine and fabrication source that is cost effective for both small consumers and industry
  • Necessity for a creative design house with engineering and drafting capabilities
  • Necessity for response and personal attention to customer service
  • Necessity for a business that can manage a variety of projects for a wide range of industries including agricultural, medical, food processing, aviation, and material handling
  • Necessity for a manufacturing and repair facility that is familiar with a wide range of materials including mild steels, alloy steels, aluminum, titanium, nickel alloys, and plastics

Intech Machine and Fabrication was originally conceived by Kevin Lopes in 1986 while enrolled in the Aeronautical Engineering program at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. While at the university, Kevin enrolled in a work-study program at Bailey Bridges, a bridge refurbishing company in San Luis Obispo that reconditioned World War II era portable bridges. He was promoted to yard foreman and was responsible for an 11-man work crew. Kevin spent two years improving his welding, fabrication, and metal processing skills while developing a unique management style under the guidance of mentor and fellow engineer, John Niel.  More about Kevin Lopes
